Hrönn Brynjarsdóttir Holmer

Hrönn Brynjarsdóttir Holmer is a PhD candidate student in the interdisciplinary department of Information Science at Cornell University. Her dissertation work focuses on the politics of information in the sustainability of the Icelandic fishing industry. To that  end she has engaged in ethnographic fieldwork in the Icelandic fishery since 2009, interviewing a wide range of stakeholders in the industry, observing and participating in work on board freezer trawlers and danish seine vessels as well as conducting historical archival research. Before starting her PhD work, she completed a masters´degree in Human Factors Engineering, also at Cornell.
