Alex Knoepflmacher
Alex Knoepflmacher is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at UC Irvine; he is currently studying identity and value production in file-sharing communities. Other research interests include visual culture, the economics of piracy, and transnationalism. Alex previously earned a B.A. at Princeton University, where he researched issues of anonymity on 4chan.
